Smarter Maintenance with TinyML on an IoT Node
One of our industrial clients needed a reliable way to detect malfunctioning equipment in the field, without depending on cloud infrastructure or manual checks.
We proposed introducing a lightweight machine learning model to recognize abnormal behavior based on vibration data. By using a MEMS sensor and deploying the model with TinyML directly on the microcontroller, the system could detect signs of malfunction in real time locally.
This local intelligence allowed the device to respond instantly, trigger alerts when needed, and reduce the amount of data sent to the cloud.
The result was a smarter, low-power solution for predictive maintenance that worked even in remote or offline environments.
